AUVI stock’ Current Update
Applied UV stated that its Airocide Air Purification System, build on preliminary internal laboratory test findings, has the potential to kill the growing multi-drug resistant fungus Candida Auris. The company’s proprietary airborne pathogen killing technology, which employs a patented mix of UVC and a proprietary titanium dioxide-based photocatalyst, is used in the system. “C.auris can cause serious infections and rapidly spread amongst hospitalized patients and nursing care residents,” as per the CDC.
Furthermore, ResInnova Laboratories verified in September 2021 that the Firm’s devices destroy C. auris from sink handles, reaching a log2 kill within only fifteen min of exposure. Prior studies on UV devices revealed that a log2 kill or greater (99.99 percent decrease) was required in 30 to 45 minutes, which is what health care professionals find significant. When compared to the current UV devices, the Resinnova test findings show a reduction in viral elimination time.
Applied UV’s Airocide and Sterilumen air purification and surface disinfection systems destroy SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 Virus) and C. auris, according to the latest test findings recently released by MRIGlobal and ResInnova Laboratories. It will continue to back the company’s international commercialization efforts.

Candida auris is a new fungus that poses a severe danger to global health. It infects the circulation, central nervous system, and many internal organs after entering the body through the skin. Multiple medication resistance has been found, and the condition is more dangerous in people with compromised immune systems, which is why it is such a concern in hospitals and long-term care institutions. Candidiasis is now considered one of the major infectious illnesses globally by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
