AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), an American multinational company has announced that it has signed an International Roaming Agreement with NTT DOCOMO, Inc., a mobile phone operator company in Japan. AT&T will be able to fulfill its promise of keeping its customer connected and providing them access to 5G through this agreement. AT&T customers in the US will be able to access 5G services when they use 5G roaming capable devices such as Motorola one 5G.
NTT DOCOMO Inc. has introduced its 5G services in Japan in March and became the first mobile operator in Japan to provide an inbound 5G roaming services to customers. Japanese-based company has disclosed Monday that it will allow foreign operators and their customers in Japan to avail DOCOMO 5G roaming services.
AT&T announced that its nationwide services will get better with the Motorola one 5G which is scheduled to arrive on 18 September 2020. This latest 5G smartphone includes an ultra-wide-angle selfie camera, a large CinemaVision full HD+ display and so much more. Customers will be able to get the device from any AT&T retail store or from its website at a very affordable price.
AT&T Inc shares were trading up 0.48% at $29.14 at the time of writing on Tuesday. AT&T Inc share price went from a low point around $26.08 to briefly over $39.70 in the past 52 weeks, though shares have since pulled back to $29.14. It has moved up 11.73% from its 52-weeks low and moved down -26.60% from its 52-weeks high. AT&T market cap has remained high, hitting $206.98 billion at the time of writing.
AT&T is considered to be the leader in global roaming. The company aimed to provide next-generation services to its customers without stopping its efforts for the development and innovation of new technology for its customers. This new deal with DOCOMO is a huge deal for AT&T and for its customers.
